Incredible Value

I purchased 2 shoe racks, in putty distressed. I have 3 teenagers, who own more shoes than a high school basketball team. The shoe racks are very well made, from solid wood, not particle board, and the finish was excellent. I searched high and low and this much shoe storage would have cost a fortune elsewhere. I highly recommend this product.

Having spent many hours assembling those pressed board pieces of prefabricated furniture, it was so wonderful to pull this piece fully assembled right out of the box. The rack is well built and holds many pairs of shoes. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was because the paint finish was somewhat dull. It is definitely a flat finish and I was hoping for something more glossy.

I have 2 gripes: Firstly adult mens shoes at too tall to fit on the top shelf. It's fine if you have a family and can just rearrange who's where but still inconvenient. Secondly, the lip on the front edge that it there to stop shoes from sliding forward is very thin and cracks/breaks easily.

**from one of sawdust city's sales staff: " I personally own this piece in my home which we've had for the past 6 months. My husbands shoes too are slightly too big, but my oldest daughter has size 10 shoes and they fit fine. I have had no issues with the thin strip that is meant only to keep the shoes from sliding back off the rack. I get many compliments on the design and am happy with my personal purchase."
